This is the house band at the Fisherman Club from the movie DOA in
San Francisco. Need I say more? Not only does the Fishermen have the most AMAZING band ever, but it also has the most incredible patrons in movie history. Just have a look at the fellow above...you can't tell, but he's saying "Lay off me man I'm being enlightened." Indeed. This is one of the best jazz clubs in
Noir and I have longed to go there ever since I watched DOA. The Fisherman is one of those bars that looks sort of creepy and no good from the outside and then you walk in and find that they just happen to have the best jazz band in San Fran. This never happens in real life. I've tried it. I have walked into the worst dives fully expecting to find an amazing jazz band and a rowdy audience of drunk hep cats. I usually find frat boys and low cut jeans. Alas.
